Difficulties with finances, parenting, sex, betrayal, and communication are legitimate problems that most couples must face in-order to build a secure functioning relationship. However, they are also symptoms of a couple’s struggles to attune to each other. I specialize in supporting couples who feel stuck in seemingly endless cycles of heated criticism and blame, as well as those who are quietly drifting apart whilst living more as roommates than romantic partners.

Too often after the initial high of romantic infatuation fades, we find ourselves stuck in the suffering of old wounds and begin to view our once beloved as the source of our pain. You may be unconsciously poking each others deepest hurts. My work with couples helps them to recognize the cycles of harm they are stuck in as the “problem,” rather than each-other, and to begin to forgive, gain insight into the roots of these cycles in historic traumas, and learn to respond to each other with the sensitivity and care that all of us deserve.

Committed love relationships are opportunities to wake up to, understand, and ultimately heal our deepest emotional and psychological wounds. I view this process of healing as one amongst many available paths of human growth and development. When treaded skillfully the path teaches us to unconditionally love and accept oneself and other. Our work together will leave you with the skills to both salve the symptom and treat its root cause. Rebuilding your relationship into a safe haven where healing and vitality are sourced takes courage and effort, however this transformation is a real possibility, and it is one that I take great pleasure in witnessing in the couples I serve.
